Today I wanted to inform you of the benefits of LED lighting over conventional high voltage or even regular low voltage halogen systems.
The home pictured above was done by my Columbus, Ohio location. This was lit with just 60 watts of power. Think of it that is just 1 lamp inside your home. With high voltage this would have been around 1000 watts and even low voltage halogen would have been 360 watts. There are many other advantages to LED: it is cool to the touch making it safer and the bulbs last 50,000 hours (roughly 15 years).
Like most new technology LED does cost a little bit more but with the energy savings and the fact that you do not have to change the bulbs most homeowners see a break even point of 2-3 years.
